Shockoe Bottom Arts Center is located in a pale green factory occupying an entire city block in the Shockoe Bottom section of downtown Richmond, Virginia. The 3-story building is in renovation, with the ground floor renovations complete.

The ground floor contains four separate, but connected buildings.

Building A is the main gallery which holds the monthly juried exhibit.
The Call for Entries is always the second Monday of each month and the reception is the following Friday 7:30 - 10:00. The reception and Gallery Talk are open to the public.

Building B has exhibit areas for single or group artist shows as well as a number of resident artist studios.

Buildings C and D are resident artist studio areas. There are more than 60 artists working in open studio currently in a variety of styles and media - painters, printmakers, sculptors, ceramic, photographers, and jewelers.
All resident artists make an attempt to be at the Arts Center the first Saturday of each month to greet guests to the Center.
